Love of color and whimsy combined with skilled technique is evidenced in the work of traditional award winning quilter Marty Vint, who was born and raised in Baltimore.
She has quilted for over 30 years, and has been longarming for customers since 2005. Her quilting style blends both computerized and freehand quilting and her quilting is completed on a Gammill Longarm Quilting Machine. Additionally, Marty teaches quilting and Longarming Classes on the East coast, is a certified instructor of Creative Studio (all versions) and publishes a line of quilt patterns.
Marty’s work has been featured in numerous publications and has won awards at shows including the Machine Quilter’s Showcase, the Annual NQA Quilting Show as well as the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah, Kentucky. Marty’s quilting graces the cover of Annie Smith’s Ultimate Appliqué Guidebook as well as the cover of Baltimore Garden Quilt by Barbara Burnham.
